Vial has developed technology to dramatically reduce the cost of clinical trials and is already running multiple trials. Now, we are building a world-class team of scientists and engineers to completely reshape drug discovery with this new reality of clinical trials cost. As one of the pioneering members of this organization, you will play a meaningful role in building a team that embodies an inspiring, collaborative and entrepreneurial culture. Our mission is build drug discovery engine that will bring an order of magnitude more drugs to market than any other drug discovery company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of 3+ Computational Chemists in running AI-enabled computational workflows for drug discovery
- Implement appropriate project management practices and frameworks to computational chemistry project
- Conduct research on strategic and tactical concerns for the department and make decisions with clear rationales
- Iteratively scale, rethink, and collaborate on the AI-enabled drug discovery engine that will scale to hundreds of programs
- Design and implement systems or integrations to augment existing computational chemistry workflows
- Write well-structured, informative, and easy-to-read documents to guide the team and share knowledge with stakeholders
- Work with other scientists, clinicians, computational biologists, project managers, and external partners to accomplish our mission of curing diseases

**What You’ll Bring**:

- 3-5 years of experience in computational chemistry
- Work in our systems (OpenEye, Chemistry42, Stardrop) to design systems and scale programs
- Entrepreneurial mindset, experience in startup environment preferred a plus
- Deeply analytical, systems thinker, focused on finding scalable solutions
