To Calculate and regularly update the Cost per Unit in Dev & Targets at Train & Sub-System levels

To Realize the Design to Cost analysis belonging to the Train Cost métier within Tender and Project

To prepare the data for the priority set up priorities Tender and Project core team to achieve the cost objectives

To communicate with the other metiers to insure proper alignment and sharing of DtC intermediate results

**Responsibilities**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Calculate the Cost per Unit in Dev and updates
- Prepare the Best in Cost Design Benchmark and calculate the Target Cost per Unit at Train and Sub-System level
- Realize all other Design to Cost Studies belonging to the Train Cost Metier (Diversity analysis, CSN)
- Insure the proper communication with the other Core Team & Design to Cost metier to insure the constant sharing of informations

**Detailled responsibilities**:

- Calculate & update the “Cost by Unit in Dev” of the Train by IBS & Sub-Systems
- Calculate the Recurring “Cost per Unit” target of the Train by IBS & Sub-Systems
- Get in inputs and share your outputs of and with the other Costing and Tender or Project resources & expertise
- Realize the Best in Cost Design Benchmark, Diversity Analysis, Cost Calculation Notes when requested highlight the main cost and saving potentials and propose Priorities to the other stakeholders.
- Constantly update the Design to Cost Action list, the priorities according to the evolutions and achievements within the Tender or Project
- Make sure the Design to Cost deliverables are delivered according to the DFQ cycle & Roadmap agreed
- Organize pre-brainstorming session (no taboo - openness - result oriented) the workshops that will take place at Core Team level for the proper transformation of the saving potentials identified into validated savings
- Establish the synthesis report, follow DtC KPIs and the evolution of the total ”Cost by Unit in Dev” at Train & Sub-System level
- The Scope of work is limited to Recurring Production Cost (Material + Assembly hours of the Train and Sub-Systems) even if NRC are taken in consideration when meaningful in the Business Cases

**Accountabilities**
- Based on the Deliverables issued by the Train Design, Indus, Sourcing representative as well as by the other Design to Cost stakeholders:

- Calculate the train Cost per Unit in Dev and update it
- Realize the Best in Cost Design Benchmark at IBS and Interfaces level and consolidate it by Sub-System
- Realize other DtC Train Cost methods like Diversity Analysis and Cost Calculation Note when needed
- Calculate the Train Target Cost per Unit V1 (proposal) and V2 (agreed) at Train and Sub-System level
- Put the Target Cost and other DtC Targets in a DtC TRS and insure their diffusion to the project stakeholders
- Based on the Train Cost tool set and process:

- Calculate & update the, KPIs & deliverables for the steering Committees
- Realize the Train Cost Deliverables as agreed with the Core Team
- Communication:

- Ensure the alignment with the product definition and put in place a close and fruitful communication with and between all the Design to Cost and Tender or Project Core Team métiers

Make sure their requirements are considered and that DtC results are known and circulated
