The role can be based either in Spain or in one of our other offices in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Denmark.
The context and the opportunity
The role is key in the claims function to support Claims Relationship Managers deliver excellent claims service across multiple business lines working closely with Claims, Underwriting and Market Management. The role includes managing a portfolio of customer and Broker relationships from a claims perspective, as well as a network of internal stakeholders.
Your new role
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Claims service strategy, processes and procedures to support delivery of overall business targets
- Support Claims Relationship Manager, Claims Business Line Manager, Underwriters and Business Development Managers in the acquisition and retention of profitable business
- Use knowledge of the Claims environment and business levels to identify any potential impact to claims resource requirements for new and renewing customers
- Support the development and implementation processes to ensure that the Claims function is aligned to the needs of the business, and work closely with underwriters and other business functions
- Consult with marketing and produce promotional material for claims
- Identify claims efficiencies, with the aim of improving claims service delivery whilst reducing the total cost of claims, and recommend enhancements
- Support Claim Relationship Manager with new business presentations to provide details of QBE Claims Service Offering and establish the best claims handling solution, and attend for own portfolio of target customers
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders/business managers for own portfolio to enable the business Claims function to fully support their needs
- Represent claims in Internal / External meetings with our Customers as required and take accountability to commit QBE claims to an agreed approach to meet Customer needs
- Develop relationships with trading partners and service providers, including TPAs, for own portfolio of customers
- Support validation of renewal schedule for major and strategic accounts and ensure that Underwriters are in possession of all pertinent claims information in anticipation of renewal negotiations
- Raise the Claims profile with both Internal and External Customers
- Raise the level of claims service and interaction with our Customers
- Validate claims data reports on time and in the prescribed form to brokers and insurance risk managers
- Identify and evaluate potential improvements to maximize the use of technology
- Ensure that for individual customer the most appropriate claims handling/servicing solution is devised, recorded/communicated to the Claims Management Team.
- Monitor and review the delivery of claims servicing commitments
- Provide assistance, advice, guidance and training upon request or when the opportunity is identified Develop and enhance the collaborative relationship with stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery

About you
- Broad experience of working in commercial insurance Claims
- Experience of Property, Casualty and/or Financial Lines
- Experience of working as part of a senior team within a multi-national insurance environment
