We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HSE & Quality Coordinator to join our team at Valmet Flow Control in Vitrolles.

Your mainly responsibilities will include:
Implement and maintain a QHSE management system in accordance with applicable French regulations, on the 3 sites more specifically.

Develop and implement effective HSE systems and strong safety culture to support business objectives, including fulfilment of legal, customer and Group requirements for SA&ME. Drive manager ownership and leadership of the system and culture. Drive employee participation in the system and culture.
- Define in collaboration with management representatives: annual policy, annual objectives, annual HSE action plan and training plan
- Implement the necessary actions to ensure the safety of employees and third parties.
- Manage inventories and internal inspections of machines, tools, etc.
- Manage incidents, risk observations - reports, root cause analysis, action plans
- Prepare and deliver internal HSE training and awareness, share METSO HSE alerts with employees
- Managing accidents at work
- Prepare and communicate half-yearly HSE reports for the MASE organization and several customers (Arcelor for example)
- Participate in Quality certification audits - next audits for Gainneville, Nanterre and Vitrolles
- Organize and participate in annual HSE MASE-UIC internal audits (outsourced)
- Performing site HSE audits, monthly HSE inspections (participation in monthly HSE meetings)
- Maintain internal communications regarding HSE topics
- Ongoing project - Prepare for the implementation of new training for aerial work platforms in specific customer sites
- Follow-up in collaboration with the local HSE training completion team
- Provide support for employee HSE performance reviews
- Follow and update the HSE action plan and HSE training plans to ensure the achievement of objectives and policy
- Conduct HSE audits on sites to ensure good HSE behavior of staff on customer sites
- Select and evaluate subcontractors with regard to QHSE requirements
- Update of QHSE Gainneville and Vitrolles manuals
- Participate in HSE certification audits(MASE audits) for FC France
- Conduct bi-annual emergency drills
- The development of prevention plans (PDP)
- Improvement plans, initiatives and actions
- Develop, maintain and implement global management system
- Provide accurate HSE reporting

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Degree in HSE
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good interactive skills building relationships with customers (both internal and external)
- Technical knowledge
- Able to organize own work (independence and discipline)
- Management skills in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment
- Customer service mind-set
- Willingness and ability to travel
- We expect you to have fluency in English and French language, both written and spoken.
