Our client is a world-renowned pharmaceutical company known for its innovation in medicines and extensive research and development. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced DSP Lead to join their globally renowned manufacturing unit team. In this role, the DSP Lead will be responsible for coordinating and planning all activities related to end-to-end manufacturing in a manner that encourages self-direction, empowerment, and accountability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the process unit team in managing a downstream (DSP) line for large scale production
- Ensure full compliance with quality, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), customer service, statutory and regulatory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products
- Coach and inspire the development of team members whilst managing shift pattern workers, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Manage a significant budget and optimize resource utilization
- Drive the Lean culture to achieve Process Excellence, including the daily use of Lean Leadership, Visual Management and Tiered and contribute to the operational improvement strategy
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent (e.g. BE/BEng/BS/BSE) in a related field
- Significantexperience managing large teams in a biologics production line
- Experience managing downstream (DSP) or upstream (USP) production processes
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and team leadership
- Excellent communication skills as well as fluency in English and a commitment to learning French
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment
