We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic **Biostatistician** to join our team.
**Job description**
- **Design and Development**_
- Statistical Programs: Design and develop programs for advanced statistical analyses.
- Innovative Methods: Develop innovative statistical methods, including those based on supervised clustering, machine learning, or AI.
- Supervision: Oversee the programming of statistical analyses across all biological data (using Python and R).
- **Validation and Collaboration**_
- Result Verification: Verify the validity and robustness of results in collaboration with other team members to ensure the accuracy of analyses.
- Close Collaboration: Work closely with biologists and geneticists to interpret results and guide experimental design.
- **Biological Data Analysis**_
- Complex Data Analysis: Analyze complex data from genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and imaging.
- Biomarker Models: Optimize biomarker models considering the availability and performance of tests.
- **Deliverables and Communication**_
- Contributions to Deliverables: Contribute to the project's statistical deliverables, including protocols, statistical analysis plans, reports, and presentations of results, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Result Communication: Communicate, discuss, and interpret statistical results with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Scientific Monitoring and Innovation**_
- Literature Review: Conduct a literature review on new statistical methods and machine learning, including deep learning.
- Valued Experience: Experience with genome-wide association studies (GWAS), polygenic risk scores (PRS), and deep learning approaches applied to omics data is highly valued.
**Your profile**:
- Master's in Biostatistics / Statistics / PhD
- 1-2 years of experience in statistical analysis
- Strong knowledge and implementation of statistical methodology
- Proven experience in programming with Python and R (any other language would be considered a plus)
- Ability to communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- Scientific English (spoken, read, and written)
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Knowledge in the field of neurodegenerative, inflammatory, and cardiovascular diseases would be a plus
Salary to be negotiated according to your experience.
