**Your role:
As the Sourcing Manager - Site Operations Europe, you will directly support the “indirect” sourcing requirements of our sites, including on-site facilities management & maintenance services, waste management (hazardous and non-hazardous), utilities, lab/office/technical equipment & consumable supplies, equipment maintenance, and minor investment projects. This position is responsible for leading sourcing initiatives with functional business partners primarily within Switzerland, France, Italy and/or Spain, but also throughout Europe as priorities evolve. As a key link between internal stakeholder groups, Procurement, and external suppliers, you are accountable for understanding key business drivers and ensuring that stakeholder requirements are fulfilled. You are experienced in category management and extensive cross-functional collaboration and use of strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand management, risk reduction, quality and performance, and supplier market innovation.
You conduct market surveys, identifies opportunities, develops category strategies, leads cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiates contracts, and manages key supplier relationships. You are a flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes.
**Key responsibilities:
Broad knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, this knowledge should include, but is not limited to:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives with internal business partners for specific functional areas
- Ensure implementation of strategies in a coordinated way across sites in the Europe region
- Gather and analyze spend in related areas within your region and derive sourcing strategies and initiatives
- Build and manage internal stakeholder relationships and satisfaction for critical categories, understanding business requirements as input into enterprise-wide sourcing efforts
- Proven experience in supporting change across a multi-location environment and multicultural teams, including cross-functional team facilitation
- Lead supplier selection and recommendation activities including qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, long and short lists, RFI and RFP/RFQ development and analysis
- Oversee high level risk management activities and gain risk management expertise for respective category areas Maintain external/internal marketplace awareness, related to trends within responsibility scope and sourcing best practices
**Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 5 years experience in strategic sourcing/category management or related function, conducting cross-functional sourcing projects and negotiating contracts, preferably related to facilities management, maintenance, MRO, and/or biotech production
- Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
- Excellent communicator, politically persuasive, demonstrated skills in collaboration
- Strategy development experience Must be proficient in both English as well as a second European language (French preferred)
Position can be located in France - Italy - Spain or Switzerland (onsite role in Healthcare locations)
