Chief of Staff to The Chief Scientific Officer

Qubit Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Chief of Staff to the Executive Scientific Officer as a part of its development.
**Overview**
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Chief of Staff to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in supporting the CSO in driving strategic initiatives, managing day-to-day collaborations between his academic lab and Qubit Pharmaceuticals' research teams, and coordinating internal projects and external partnerships.
**Your role**
- Collaborate closely with the CSO to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company's goals and objectives, including working closely with the teams to follow and support progress
- Manage and monitor the research team’s roadmap and meetings, in collaboration with 3 team leads and the CSO, and facilitate delivery through coordination with other teams
- Serve as a key liaison between the CSO and internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication, including representation in leadership team meetings
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities in the quantum and chemistry domains and contribute to commercialization and communication plans with the Chief Corporate Development Offices
- Coordinate and prioritize activities, projects, and meetings for the CSO, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials for internal and external audiences, including communications, grant proposals and strategic partnerships. This includes providing scientific input in content and ensuring quality of deliverables.
- Work closely with CSO and General Counsel to support R&D team’s IP strategy and prepare initial versions of legal documents
- Support the CSO in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the organization.
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CSO.
**Your Qualification**
- PhD in a relevant field such as Quantum Physics, Computational Chemistry, HPC or related discipline.
- Passion for computational science and technology - Strong communication skills with fluency in both French and English, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Previous experience in strategic consulting or a similar role preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership potential with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
