**About the Property**:
It is a magnificent private villa of 400 m2 located on the heights of Sainte Maxime, in close proximity of Port Grimaud.

The property belongs to a French couple who are based in Paris. This is their second home.

They visit the Villa from Mid June / Beginning July until Mid September, for a period of about 3 months.

It is usually just the couple on the property, but they occasionally have guests over as well, especially their children who are adults. At any point, there would be a maximum of 8 people that you would be in-charge of cooking for.

**The project**:
We are looking for an experienced Chef willing to take a seasonal contract, starting in the 1st or 2nd week of April, up until 15th September 2023. (Almost 6 months)

Since there is no one on the property except the Head Housekeeper from April to July, you will not be cooking for the owners, therefore, you would be responsible for taking care of necessary errands for the Villa.

In this sense, we are especially interested in chefs who are versatile and capable, not only in handling the entire kitchen, but also chefs who are not afraid of taking care of other tasks around the house and running the Villa with the Head Housekeeper.

**Cuisine**:
You would be in charge of preparing Breakfast, Lunch (not all the time) & Dinner for the guests. You will not need to do service as the Head Housekeeper will help you to do so.

You would be preparing contemporary French and Mediterranean cuisine.
These would be light & healthy dishes, but also very appetising and tasty at the same time.

You would not be preparing typical French cuisine such as Beef Bourguignon, which would be too heavy for the owners.

Presentation of your dishes is extremely important in addition to the taste.

The more creative you are, the happier the guests are going to be.

New ideas and variety in your cuisine is essential to this role and to the owners. We are looking for a Chef who will want to please the owners by serving them various dishes from one week to another.

You have great knowledge of fresh ingredients and local products, and your cuisine is heavily based on fresh items.

**Please Note**:
You would not necessarily be preparing gastronomical cuisine, but gourmet style food nonetheless.

The guests like to go outside to restaurants for lunch quite a few times, in which case you are welcome to begin preparations for dinner early in the day.

The owners also love to have light Asian food occasionally, hence basic knowledge of Asian cuisine is very appreciated.

Basic Knowledge of Pastries & Bread is highly appreciated.

**Equipment of the kitchen**:
In terms of the equipment, you will have access to a very professional and high-tech kitchen that is fully fitted with the best appliances.

There are two refrigerators and a Cold Room, a huge induction table with different heating settings, Several ovens, including a special Steam Oven and several freezers.

This is truly a space which you will appreciate and feel inspired to design your creations.

**Other Duties**:
Specifically, from April to June, till the time the owners have not arrived at the property, you would be entrusted with other responsibilities.

Inside the kitchen, you would be responsible for putting the dishes in the dish-washer, cleaning the kitchen stations, kitchen floors and your kitchen space.

Outside the kitchen, it could be running errands for the property. These could be: giving a hand to the Head Housekeeper if needed, going to the stores when needed, resolving crisis if any, welcoming external subcontractors, bringing cars to the garage for technical maintenance, fuelling the cars, fuelling the quad bikes, etc...

Hence, we are looking for chefs who have an open-mind, are very flexible and show initiative in working outside of their role. We are looking for Chefs who are willing to evolve in the world of Private Luxury Villas.

You would not be in-charge of doing the table service. The Head housekeeper is in-charge of serving the food.

**Desired profile**:
For this position, you MUST have:

- Experience in luxury private environment as a Chef
- Experience as a Head Chef/Chef in high end restaurants
- Knowledge of Contemporary French, Mediterranean & healthy cuisine
- Knowledge of fresh ingredients & local products
- Knowledge of basic Asian cuisine
- Knowledge in Hygiene processes
- You must be very **autonomous** and **able to handle the entire kitchen by yourself.**:
