Rams Engineer

**Airbus Defence and Space **is looking for **a RAMS Engineer **(f/m) **to join our RAMS Engineering Department based in **Elancourt, France **.

One of the major mission of this department is to ensure that Airbus Space System products are developed, designed, produced and supported according to the state-of-art and the relevant Airbus Defence and Space dependability standards, and that the safety of the products are maintained throughout its whole lifecycle, considering Human Factors and operations.

RAMS engineering **(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) **at electronic equipment level is a key activity supporting all equipment development and is embedded in the design engineering activities. The Equipment RAMS engineer principal role is to perform RAMS analysis.

You will be expected to **carry out Reliability activities in support to the Equipment Design projects/teams in Elancourt **. You will be **responsible for the RAMS characteristics of the equipment **, quantifies the results and recommends improvements to the design, in close cooperation with designers.You will work in an integrated team with the other teams of the department at equipment and system level in Spain, France, UK and Germany.

**Your challenges**:

- Perform RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) analysis on electronic equipment: FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis),HSIA (Hardware/Software Interaction Analysis), Reliability Analysis, Safety analysis,
- Be part of the design team and influence the design for it to comply with RAMS requirements,
- Make sure the resulting documents/analysis content is in line with the expected inputs at system level, interface with the customer to converge before the equipment development reviews,
- Be involved in technical proposal, specification, trade off, architecture and detailed design,
- Consider all the specific space mission constraints, including radiation hardening,
- Write and validate all the justification files and organize long term project capitalization.

**Your profile**:

- Educated to Engineering degree level (or equivalent) in electronics,
- RAMS engineer with experience in analog, power and digital electronic designs analysis, FMECA, reliability and safety assessment (>3 years),
- Statistics,
- Excel, Excel macro (VBA),
- Working knowledge of reliability software tools would be an asset,
- Standards: MIL-HDBK-217F+N2, FIDES, ECSS dependability and safety standards.
