Cad / Cam Technician

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, and specific instructions.
- Write and optimise G-code programs for various CNC machine tools.
- Operate workshop machines, including during setup and ramp-up phases. Capable of making adjustments on machines to optimise performance and quality of produced parts.
- Monitor production processes to ensure parts comply with quality and precision specifications.
- Participate in the implementation of new machines in the workshop.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the machine fleet.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes.
- Train operators on new machining procedures and techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vocational Training Certificate, High School Diploma, and/or Advanced Technician Certificate in CAM or a related field.
- Significant experience in G-code programming and machine tool operation (minimum 2 years).
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and precision in work.
