Role Purpose:
Integrate Sibelco's global geology and mining centre of excellence to participate in exploration programmes, reserve and resource reporting, consolidation processes and direct participation in development projects. In addition, provide a relevant geological support and a long-term vision to Operations, implement working practices and develop mine planning on multiple sites or in multiple clusters to optimize the quarries balance and raw materials supply on the long term. Assess Reserves & Resources status and support global reserves and resources reporting process.

**Responsibilities**:
1 -Support Global exploration, reserves & resources reporting and audit activities as part of the Corporate Centre of Excellence:
- support exploration projects and develop geological targets- Support the reserves reporting process, implement a reserves and resources audit programme- Ensure that the Exploration programme is implemented and meets its objectives- Participate to the implementation of a strategical GIS

2 - Manage geological and quality data of the sites and the surrounding areas:
- Organize acquisition and storage of new data (drillings, sampling and analysis)- Update and improve the geological model with all relevant documentation (maps, sections, report) with the help of available tools and software (Surpac, Leapfrog, QGIS,)- Share all new data, results and reports with relevant services and departments

3 - Monitor the available reserves and resources and continuously explore new deposits:
- (Re-)evaluate deposits, provide reliable reserves and resources estimates and update them at least once a year- Advise management and the local team on target potential and forecasted qualities- Initiate actions to maintain the reserves and resources level to answer group objectives- Participate in the annual planning of the in-house drilling team

4 - Manage and follow up the mine planning activities, assist or be in charge of quarry design and geotechnical management in order to achieve continuous improvement:
- Set up mine planning, long term planning, exploration and reserve assessment- Carry out grade control and short-term quarry planning- Advise the local teams on quarry restoration profiling- Promote the long-term vision of geo models and mine planning

5 - Engage in various projects, permit requests and innovation activities.- Participate in permit renewal activities, providing expert advice and all needed reports and data- Conduct exploration projects to execute local mineral development projects- Support or participate in various projects (e.g. quarry, quality, safety, environment, markets, customers,)

About you:
- Geologist with 2-5 years experience in industrial minerals, mining exploration or reserves estimation- Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry- Knowledge of relevant geology ICT tools (geology modelling software such as LeapFrog or Surpac, GIS software,) and data management software.- Fluent French and English - verbal and writing
