Role Overview

**We are looking for**:

- The Solutions Cluster’s Product Stewardship teams belong to the Solvay Industrial function and interact closely with multiple functions providing regulatory expertise and guidance to the businesses and R&I.
- The Product Stewardship Compliance Specialist will play an active role to support regional regulatory compliance team with coordination export compliance activities and product stewardship processes. They will be responsible for assessing, advising, steering and implementing product stewardship regulatory strategy for existing product lines (mainly alkoxylates) and follow up impact of emerging regulations.
- It will involve working closely with innovation and market teams to assess and anticipate impacts on the portfolios and to implement regulatory strategies.
- This position will report directly to the Product Stewardship Compliance Manager, EMEA.

**We count on you for**:

- Classification of products in the EMEA region in regard to export control (dual use chemicals, drug precursors, PIC regulations etc.)
- Coordinates the global management of export control classifications in the Solutions Cluster products to ensure that all relevant products are correctly classified with data maintained in SAP.
- Liaise with Global Registration and Solvay export compliance team for global export compliance follow-up and data maintenance.
- Answers to trade team specific questions on Novecare portfolio and raw materials
- Manage Product Stewardship activities associated with alkoxylates product portfolio to support the polymers products steward.
- Complete and follow the regulatory dossiers for all substances included in the technologies, from the raw materials to the final chemical composition of commercial products.
- Complete regulatory assessments for new and existing products of the portfolio, to enable products to be marketed to required global regulatory and safety standards
- Manage registration dossiers (EU REACH & REACH Like) in contact with local authorities and REACH consortia and coordinate the technical deliverables (IUCLID / SDS / data management)
- Review / Update internal process and decision matrix for EU REACH & REACH Like Only Representative configuration to support our key customers.
- Estimate and follow the resources for the compilation of Only Representative dossiers, coordinate the technical deliverables (IUCLID / OR contracts) and yearly follow up.
- Ensure Poison Center Notification (PCN) and updates are done and monitor developments at EU member States level. Formalize the related process.
- Assist EU SDS writer for any PCN topic
- Assess and manage the risks of products throughout their life cycle as an integral part of overall business strategy.
- Ensure products EMEA compliance to regulated markets (Cosmetics, Detergence, Food Contact & Ecolabels).
- Represent Product Stewardship in meetings for communicating around regulatory topics.
- Provide training to the R&I/Business team on regulatory matters.
- Provide our stakeholders with an optimum perspective between regulatory compliance and added value, compatible with Group policy and procedures.

**You will bring**:
Education and Experience
- At least 3 years of industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience or understanding of regulatory affairs or product safety is required.
- Export control experience (dual use chemicals) would be desirable, but training will be provided.
- Fluency in English is required.
