Based in Grenoble (France), we are currently establishing our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).
In the coming years, we will focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually and creating 1200 direct jobs.

We are searching for a motivated engineer to do a brillant internship in our Digital Team
The Edge Engineer Intern will be responsible for configuring, onboarding, and testing of machines in Edge Platform.
**Responsibilities**:
- Part of the Digital Innovation office, your responsibilities will be to:
- Study and understand the functionalities of the edge platform.
- Study the machines and their parameters which will be connected with the edge platform.
- Understand and test the different protocols used by each machine for data transfer.
- Understand data structure and data flow on the edge platform as per requirements from the Engineering and MES team.
- Study and implement Verkor information and Machine model (Enterprise Architect software) for each process. Map the data coming from various machines with the information model.
- Setup and configure the edge platform data storage and connectivity with Azure cloud platform.
- Do performance and Data validation tests on edge platform for data acquisition rate, data storage, data transfer speed to cloud platform, etc.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in electronics, Automation, computer science and/or technical degree in information systems
- Familiar with IoT concepts and platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of working with sensor/ machine interfacing, data acquisition protocols.
- Good experience with programming in Python.
- Familiar with cloud connectivity protocols such as MQTT, REST.
- Excellent English written and oral skills.
- Easily adapt to multi-cultural environment
- Versatile, problem-solving, can-do attitude
- Ability to look for the best solutions and functionalities to support the business
**Nice to Have**:
- Knowledge on SQL Database and OPC-UA
- Familiar with JavaScript
