- The Vetting department covers all of the company's shipping activities: more than 7,000 tanker evaluations, approximately 20,000 vetting requests analyzed, more than 40 shipowner audits per year.
- It is in this context that we are looking for our future Maritime Vetter M/F.
- As part of a dynamic team located in Paris, Brussels, Singapore and Houston, you will ensure the safety of maritime and inland waterway activities carried out by all the Company's entities, in a stimulating international context where interactions with the entire maritime industry are permanent: the Vetting team is in contact with numerous collaborators within the Company (charterers, HSE managers, terminal operators, etc.) and as many people active in the oil freight market: shipowners, ship operators, inspectors, etc.
- In this context, your main missions are to:

- Implement the policy defined by the Company for the safety of maritime transport, through the following actions- Analyze each ship approval request sent by all the Company's entities,
- Reviewing the reports issued for each vessel, analyzing the risks and rendering conclusions on the acceptability status of the vessels,

Analyze the information collected from international bodies: IMO, OCIMF, Classification Societies...
- Periodically inspect ships according to the rules and criteria of international bodies
- Carry out maritime expertise missions under the authority of the Vetting Manager
- Regularly audit the Group's partner shipowners under the authority of the Vetting Manager
- Act as a technical expert within the Crisis Unit of the Maritime Transport Department
- Participate in certain OCIMF international forums as required by the Company- Maritime academic background with strong technical maritime knowledge (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Marine Marchande or international equivalent).
- At least 10 years of effective navigation experience on board oil tankers (crude or products) and/or chemical or gas tankers, including at least two years in the position of Master, Chief Engineer, Second Master, Second Engineer.
- OCIMF accreditation will be appreciated
- Mobile for regular trips abroad
- Fluent English is mandatory
