Hfs Europe Smart

The HFS Europe Smart & Secure Lead oversees smart manufacturing IT infrastructure projects and operations and serves as a hands-on technical expert for issues that are escalated, supporting all Smart & Secure environments at our European sites. The position is part of the HFS IT Europe HQ organization and reports to the HFS IT EU Infrastructure Manager, with a dotted line to the global LMS team in the US.

Primary purpose of the position:

- Lead and coordinate Smart & Secure (S&S) infrastructure activities for HFS Europe Aero locations.
- Coordinate with HFS business unit, HFS IT and Howmet centralized IS resources to deliver day to day S&S services and support locations projects.
- Coordinate on-sites S&S technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance, selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
- Be able to troubleshoot all aspects of S&S infrastructure (servers, databases, PCs, network equipment, etc.).
- Provide technical expertise serving as top Europe escalation S&S contact and provide technical guidance and hands-on support to local IT teams for issues arising in the business and process control networks.
- Support locations PCS de-risking programs and non-domain legacy PCS environments.
- Provide Business Unit technical expertise to execute on digital transformation goals and objectives across manufacturing, engineering, and production organizations.
- Help guide process improvements within IT, improve efficiency, ensure SLAs are met.
- Mentor team of technology professionals, advancing their development and value to the organization.
- Collaborate with HFS IS and Corporate IT to ensure Howmet architecture standards are met.
- Support PCS and IT ASAT compliance process, support on-site and remote IAD audits, maintaining full compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

Major activities:

- Hardware support: Maintain S&S hardware within lifecycle and supported state, manage vendors relationship, licensing, maintenance contracts, refreshes and renewals.
- WSUS support: Support Microsoft WSUS patching processes.
- VMware: Administrate VMware VCenter environments, deliver and maintain VMs for all EU sites.
- Storage support: Support for HPE Nimble storage environment.
- Network support: Support for Cisco Area switches (eg. IE3300 series) and S&S Core switches
- SQL Infra support: Infrastructure DBA support of MS SQL server environments.
