**Role Objective**

Your role will be to actively participate in the improvements of transit data for Maps in France, with the supervision of the local French Transit Manager.

To do so, you will support your Manager with the launch of many new transit data (GTFS) covering new areas in France. This will be done through an internal data management platform on which you will receive training. Depending on the bandwidth, you may also be required to support your Manager with the maintenance and improvements of existing launched cities in France.

**Role & Responsibilities as Transit Expert (intern)**:

- Launch new transit data for France. This includes working with a data management platform.
- Communicate with internal stakeholder teams (especially your local transit manager) to achieve project goals.
- Identify transit user expectations, data gaps and provide insights to the product.
- Leverage expertise and local familiarity with local transit systems to identify patterns or gaps in transit data and make changes in the data management platform.
- Proactively suggest improvements to the data management platform (includes creation of bugs with external parties).
- Assist your local Transit Manager and your EMEA Partnerships Manager to communicate with the partner/provider about required data fixes or inform about problematic data areas.
- Inform your local Transit Manager for upcoming outages / specific events happening in the country that may affect transit data.
- Create guideline documents to be used by operators with country specific insights.
- Review of mapping operations issues for quality checks related to specific countries of expertise.

**Experience / Skills**
- Student in engineering school OR master degree, specialized in transportation
- First experience (internship is okay) within a transit / mobility company
- Interest in the transit / mobility and open data markets
- Knowledge of transit-specific data format is a bonus (GTFS especially)
- Good communication skills in English and native local language
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
