**Your missions**:
The consolidation department sits in the Direction of Financial Operations. The consolidation manager is responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting monthly consolidation close activities for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
The position partners with the entire corporate finance and controlling teams, France accounting teams as well as finance teams in subsidiaries to support the consolidations and reporting processes.
The role reports to the Group Director of Financial Operations.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Lead preparation, control and analysis of the monthly group consolidated accounts, including cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements (French GAAP) and group accounting policies.
- Ensure appropriate controls are implemented around the consolidation process both at corporate and subsidiary levels for accuracy and reliability of the financial statements.
- Perform analyses and controls on individual reporting packages from subsidiaries to obtain assurance that financials are accurate.
- Provide top management with in-depth understanding and insightful analyses of the group consolidated accounts.
- Ensure that finance teams worldwide are effectively trained and supported.
- Prepare monthly external financial reporting for the banks and shareholders, as well as annual financial statements and disclosures.
- Be a driving force in accelerating process improvements and efficiencies and Finance transformation overall.
- Collaborate with other departments ensuring smooth processes as well as continuous improvements from an end-to-end perspective.
- Liaise with external auditors and is accountable for the smooth completion of their audits worldwide within the deadlines.
- Manage a team of 2 people and a trainee, retain and develop them, ensuring critical competence is in place.
- Provide leadership and direction to his/her team through coaching and act as a role model by living organization culture.
- Build the department as one team by developing efficient communication within the team and with other Finance & Controlling teams.
**Your profile**:
**Background**:
- Master degree in Finance/Accounting or DSCG
- Proven experience of 5-8 years in a consolidation role or senior strategic finance role with focus on Accounting/Consolidation.
**Technical skills**:
- Strong technical skills in consolidation and accounting including knowledge of French GAAP.
IFRS is a plus.
- Consolidation tool experience: SAP-FC is a plus.
- Experience in process optimization and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Required language skills: English.
**Soft skills**:
- Strong leadership and influencing skills - Ability to influence and get the buy-in of his/her stakeholders and team to achieve his/her goal; work cordially with others.
- Ability to work with a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and confidence.
- Possess an ownership mentality, with the willingness to roll-up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals; Problem-solving skills;
- Challenge ways of working, seek for new ways of working for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams, ability to work as a team player in an agile and dynamic environment.
