Created in 2021 by Camille Bouget, Vincent Bouget et Julien Duquesne, Scienta Lab is a deeptech company harnessing artificial intelligence to transform the drug discovery and development process in immunology and inflammation.

As a Research Intern at Scienta Lab, you will work on data science projects to predict outcomes for patients with immune diseases. You will have access to healthcare data including clinical observations, treatment sequences, and genomics data, and be an integral part of the R&D team. Your main mission will be to leverage Scienta Lab’s foundation model to answer medical and scientific questions to identify new biomarkers, therapeutic targets, drug combinations, indications expansions, and optimized drug development strategies.

This role will provide high exposure to medical and AI research, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a rapidly growing start-up. Moreover, we value high-quality code and research, so that you will be exposed to good practices in this area.

**Who we are looking for**
- Currently enrolled in a degree (PhD/Master) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Machine Learning
- You are familiar with deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, Jax) and model training processes
- Good command of coding in Python, and strong grasp of programming best practices
- Professional working proficiency in English

**How to stand out**
- You have expertise and knowledge with omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics)
- Passionate about the intersections of healthcare/biology and AI
- You have research experience, including scientific publications at ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML,)

**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: 1,200.00€ - 2,000.00€ per month
