Within the Rolling Stock & Components (RSC) Development & Operations Product Line, the RSC Development and Project Office is responsible for defining standards, methodologies and tools for Engineering, Development and Project and for supporting Regions for developing competencies and for supporting projects in development phase.
The Advanced & Creative Design (A&CD) team in Saint-Ouen is looking for a **Materials Library Officer **who will contribute to the development of creative mobility solutions which embody Alstom’s brand DNA
What is the A&CD team responsible for? In a few words, the team is in charge of realizing Design studies during tender phase for all regions and defining Alstom product identity
The Materials Library Officer is in charge of our physical and digital library based in Saint-Ouen. He coordinates the updating activity of the library in relation with all the A&CD’s (Advanced & Creative Design) designers and external suppliers. You will be responsible to:
- Keep contact/link with all our designers all around the world
- Keep contact/link with all our suppliers
- Keep contact/link with all the different departments of ALSTOM (Center for Operational Excellence, Ttrain Design, Train System)
- Analyze and update new references from suppliers to update our materials solutions
- Help the designers to find good solutions during our thinking phases
- Improve relations and information exchanges with different teams
- Creation of material libraries to supplement the main material library in Saint-Ouen, France
- Promote the added value of the Design professions and the A&CD department to all stakeholders in the company
- Ensuring the archival of completed projects and implementable materials to benefit future projects
**Profile**:
- Graduated of a materials Art School.
- Excellent knowledge of 2D graphic design tools.
- Experience in transportation industries
- Good written and spoken English.
- Experience of ensuring design deliverables meet required quality standards.
- Experience in coaching immediate colleagues in technical and tool skills and deliverable quality.
