**Visionary Impact**:
As the Director, Environmental Sustainability, Europe, you will champion KONE's commitment to environmental sustainability within the European Area. Your leadership will inspire passion and excitement for our sustainability vision, strategy, and plan across all levels of the organization, from leadership to field technicians. Your role in actively driving Europe Area’s implementation of the strategic shifts for environmental sustainability will influence both immediate and long-term sustainability objectives, aligning with our vision to create smart and sustainable urban spaces.

**Drive Europe’s Environmental Sustainability agenda**:
In this pivotal role, you will lead and actively implement our sustainability agenda for Europe, focusing on embedding sustainable practices into the fabric of our corporate culture. You will ensure that sustainability becomes a natural aspect of every role within KONE, fostering a deep-seated commitment to environmental stewardship. By collaborating with R&D and product development teams, you will ensure that environmental sustainability is at the core of all innovation in and towards Europe. By collaborating directly with Europe frontlines and the Europe Area leadership, you will ensure that (i) agreed environmental sustainability initiatives are implemented locally, (ii) that local sustainability innovations are encouraged and (iii) that a strong network is developed for frontline stakeholders to share best practices and innovations on environmental sustainability.

Your efforts will not only keep KONE at the forefront of the industry but also reinforce our reputation as a leader in sustainable urban development. You will actively engage and influence our customers and partners, driving collaborative initiatives that support our shared sustainability goals. This role offers you the opportunity to be a true ambassador for sustainability, both within and outside KONE, showcasing our leadership in transforming the industry. Travel within Europe is required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental sustainability strategy for Europe that aligns with KONE's corporate goals and inspires all employees.
- Lead the integration of environmental sustainability into all business processes and decision-making, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
- Drive innovation in sustainable practices, overseeing collaboration with technological and strategic partners.
- Manage and inspire sustainability stakeholders across the Europe Area, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, best practice sharing and commitment to environmental stewardship.

**Professional Experience/Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience in developing and leading sustainability strategies in a global corporation.
- Demonstrated success in transforming business practices to align with sustainability goals.
- Expertise in regulatory compliance, environmental impact assessments, and corporate social responsibility.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- An advanced degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
