Onnec Group is a leading multinational group of companies with our headquarter in London. We are active in the field of infrastructure for Telecommunications, Data Centres & smart buildings. We have dozens of ongoing projects around the globe. We are looking to prequalify Cabling Installation Engineers to work with us as an **independent subcontractor** in our projects.

We are looking for freelancing engineers in the domains of structured cables, cabling (copper & fibre), fittings, testing & commissioning for infrastructure projects in Telecom, IT, Data Centres, and low current systems.

The Cabling Installation Engineer is an independent freelancer that is prequalified in our freelancers database to be ready to work with us when required based on our demand and his availability. The Cabling Installation Engineer shall be working within a team (and occasionally on their own) installing, terminating and testing structured cabling in line with the Onnec Group portfolio of systems. it is a site based function and reports to the Project Manager.

**What you’ll be doing as our Cable Installation Engineer**:

- Work in a team of Engineers installing Copper and Fibre Cables as per provided drawings to meet Onnec Group and Manufacturers quality standards
- Carry out all types of Copper Cables for Voice and Data terminations as required by the Onnec Group portfolio of cabling systems
- Carry out all types of Optical fibres Cables for Voice and Data terminations as required by the Onnec Group portfolio of cabling systems
- Audit and document existing cabling installations
- Carry out all works under current Health & Safety procedures implementing company Method Statements
- Carry out basic patching & labelling under the instruction of the Cabling Site Supervisor / Cabling Site Manager
- End to End testing of all copper & fibre (Voice and Date) installations using the latest proprietary test equipment to include Continuity Testers and Standards Testers. Saving and documenting all required test information
- Carry out basic fault finding on copper & fibre Cabling Infrastructure using Continuity Testers, Tone Generator and Standards Testers
- Keep records of all stock delivered and update as stock is used, keeping Site Manager informed.

**What we’re looking for in our Cable Installation Engineer**:

- Experience of installing and terminating voice and data cables
- Skilled in the use of copper & fibre infrastructure test equipment
- Relevant Cabling Manufacturer Accreditations
