We're looking for an **Mechanical Engineer (H/F) on a permanent contract** for our factory La Spirotechnique, based in Carros.

Within the Regulators & Rebreathers development team and reporting to the Regulators & Rebreathers Product Development Manager (PDM), the **Mechanical Engineer** will support the Product Development Manager during the development phases of new products and the sustaining of the current range of product, from the validated product brief to the first serial production. He/She will contribute and provide development deliverables according to the Product Development Plan (PDP), that include the following steps: product specification, research of solution, mechanical design of components, prototyping, plan test definition, technical documentation such as 2D drawings, specifications, bill of materials, MITPs for the plant, packaging, component qualification, user manual, service manual.

The job will require a close collaboration with the team members, especially to lead the mechanical designers of the team, but also with other teams: PDMs, PM, Hard Goods Product Designer, V&V team, Purchases and suppliers, Quality, Plant.

**Main missions**:

- Contribute and provide development deliverables linked to PDP Process, such as product specifications, mechanical design of components, CAD, 2D drawings, BOM, prototype, part number management, conformity to regulations, reports, packaging, milestones presentation, MITPS, user manual, service manual, etc.
- Support PDM to prepare reviews linked to PDP process,
- Lead the team mechanical designers to ensure deliverables within the required time frame,
- Redaction of product specifications,
- Components and assemblies design and sustaining on Solidworks,
- 2D drawings creation and sustaining on Solidworks,
- Setup design calculations or run simulation on Solidworks,
- Manage and follow the prototypes manufacture,
- Setup test plan for prototypes,
- BOM management,
- Setup technical files for product CE certification,
- Contribute to the product technical documentation (service manual, end user manual, datasheet),
- Work closely with manufactures teams to setup the MITP,
- Store Engineering data according R&D global process,
- Contribute to competitor analysis,
- Support aftersales with technical expertise,
- Support purchase department on technical topics with suppliers,
- Setup data of new articles with the MDM process.

**Ccompétencies & expériences**:

- Level of studies: Masters in Mechanical / Plastics Engineering,
- Level of experience: First successful experience with mechanical design (internship or first job),
- Solidworks CAD knowledge (3D and drawing),
- A first experience in design of products according PPE regulations and/or EN250 standard and/or EN14143 would be appreciate,
- Fluent English, able to lead a meeting in English,
- Good communication skills,
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams (V&V, Product, Marketing, Purchases, Suppliers, Plant),
- Able to work alone as well as in a team,
- Attention to detail,
- Good organizational skills, sense of prioritization,
- Knowledge of dive gears (first dive experience or dive certification) is a plus.
