We’re currently building a diverse and regional team where individual strengths complement each other. The Back Up Project Manager (PM) is who proactively coordinate different activities with diverse teams who supports costing, planning and execution of Projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- As a Back Up Project Manager, you will be responsible to support and coordinate activities with different internal departments like Sales, Proposals, Project Management and Field Operations, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and EHS.
- Support Project Managers for planning and implementation of service projects in region Mesoamerica
- Coordinate and execute necessary activities related to Resource Planning (Field Service Engineers and Labor)
- Encourage to cultivate strong working internal and external client relationships as well as internal team building.
- Ability to analyze information and provide reports and feedback to project team members and management.
- Strong Ability to communicate / work with international teams across different countries and cultures.
- Ensure compliance to standards, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains constant communication with internal and external customers, or other stakeholders.
- You will contribute and drive internal continuous improvement processes.
What you Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar College Degree
- Proficiency English is a must.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting the management of projects in order processing (or similar process) with SAP; basic understand of technology and manufacturing processes, MS-Office
- Able to present information in a clear manner to the project team and management.
- Basic Knowledge in related disciplines such as Projects Planning, Finance and Administration, SCM and Logistics and Quality
- Strong influencing skills required to drive organizational and behavioral.
- This position will require domestic and/or international travel up to 15%
- Knowledge and Prior experience with Turbomachinery (Industrial Steam and/or Gas Turbines and Generators) Services business or equivalent is a plus.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage basic projects activities throughout the project life cycle, which includes agreeing project targets with project and execution and support areas.
- Supporting Order Entry processing in coordination with Sales and Commercial Project Manager (CPM)
- Supporting Creation of WBS (Work Break Down Structure) and SAP Job Numbers
- Coordination of Resource (Field Service/Labor) planning and implementation through clients’ platforms if required.
- Coordination and supporting EHS plan for projects with Project Manager, EHS coordinator and clients.
- Project Logistics and mobilization (global mobility, visas, work permits, itineraries, etc.)
- Supporting and Tracking of Tooling transport and logistics for projects (Tooling order and shipment process, import/export support, documentation, etc.)
- Supporting Vendor creation when applicable
- Creation and Tracking of purchasing requisitions in SAP and Intercompany PO’s product lines, regional service offices, PCCs, sub-vendors.
- Tracking and consolidation of data to develop KPI Metrics (pre mob briefings, on time report delivery, productivity, cross-utilization)
- Tracking and consolidation of data of productive hours on projects
- Adheres to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines including Quality Management and EHS.
