Operations Technician

LIGENTEC is a young and dynamic company located in Lausanne, Switzerland. We are manufacturing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies and Biosensors. LIGENTEC All-Nitride technology enables our customers to develop their products in the industrial revolution 4.0. We are looking for an Operations Technician to join the operations team at LIGENTEC France. The ideal candidate is a motivated and hands-on team player, eager to support daily test operations, logistics coordination, and process automation. Tasks Your responsibilities: ● Execute automated wafer-level test campaigns on dedicated measurement setups ● Coordinate testing logistics with the operations team, including wafer handling, packaging, and shipment preparation ● Monitor test execution, flag anomalies, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations ● Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to testing and logistics workflows ● Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency ● Assist with data processing, reporting, and dashboard updates Requirements Your profile: ● BSc or MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field ● Proficiency in Python; experience with web development (HTML, JavaScript, PHP) is an advantage ● Interest in automation and process improvement ● Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously ● Team-oriented with strong communication skills ● Working proficiency in English and French ● Prior experience in the semiconductor or photonics industry is an asset Benefits Your profile: ● BSc or MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field ● Proficiency in Python; experience with web development (HTML, JavaScript, PHP) is an advantage ● Interest in automation and process improvement ● Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously ● Team-oriented with strong communication skills ● Working proficiency in English and French ● Prior experience in the semiconductor or photonics industry is an asset
