Engineering at Ageras Our 150 engineers design scalable, reliable, and user‑centric solutions driven by a modern architecture. The team is organized into specialized tribes that collaborate in cross‑functional teams, including an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, a Product Designer and Software Engineers. Product teams develop core features for key business domains (invoicing, banking, accounting). Platform teams manage infrastructure and core services (Cloud, DevOps, Core APIs, developer tools). Data team builds data pipelines for engineering, modeling and analytics. Our stack includes Python, Nodejs, Typescript, FastAPI, Dataflow, Airflow, GCP, Terraform and dbt. Your Role You will join the Compliance & Risks team, which is responsible for detecting and combating fraud risks for Ageras and its clients by leveraging the data we have. Your responsibilities include: Tackle fraud daily by designing and deploying innovative security scenarios. Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support regulatory reporting for financial institutions, including the design of scalable, future‑proof data models. Work hand‑in‑hand with teams across Fraud, Compliance, Security and Tech to ensure seamless integration and collaboration. Support operations teams in their day‑to‑day use of the Back Office, focusing on performance, usability and efficiency. Write clean, reusable and well‑documented code, conduct thorough testing and participate in code reviews to uphold high quality standards. Implement automated testing to guarantee product reliability, improve performance and quickly resolve production issues. Promote best practices in software development, such as domain‑driven design, clean‑code principles, pair programming and mentoring. Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing and implementing forward‑thinking technical solutions. Your profile You have 5+ years of backend development experience in Python and can structure complex systems. You’re comfortable working with a JavaScript/TypeScript environment and have hands‑on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. You have a solid track record in building scalable, reliable and evolutive data pipelines. You’re an effective communicator, able to bridge the gap between technical and non‑technical stakeholders. You pay close attention to detail and are deeply committed to delivering high‑quality, impactful solutions. Bonus: You’ve worked in highly regulated industries such as banking or insurance and have experience with fraud detection or recommendation systems. You’re fluent in English and thrive in collaborative, fast‑moving environments.
