Linux System Engineer: Job Overview Position: Linux System Engineer with Network Expertise Team: Infra R&D Type: Permanent Contract Remote Work: Up to 3 days per week Linux System Engineer: Experience and Skills Who we are looking for? We are seeking a candidate with strong Linux expertise in daily use within an internal environment, good network skills, and experience deploying and configuring network equipment professionally. If you are experienced in administering virtualization solutions (VMware, HyperV, KVM...), know how to install, configure, and connect servers, hypervisors, NAS/SAN/SDN, and network equipment, then this position is for you Job Responsibilities Maintain operational condition of Linux environments. Manage hardware: handle requests for new machines (from ordering to delivery), manage stock, and control inventory. Support R&D user requests. Implement security policies and procedures. Contribute to documentation and operational procedures. Assist in IT project deployment (tool deployment, server installation, network integration, etc.). Technical Environment Networks: TCP/IP networks Scripting: Shell, PowerShell Virtualized Environments: VMware, HyperV, RedHat, KVM, Xen Citrix Monitoring: Centreon Security: Stormshield Firewall, routing rules, network security Why Choose Stormshield? The department comprises several teams of about ten members each, including Developers, Testers, Tech Leaders, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners. Teamwork is central to our operations. A technical interview with Nicolas and the Technical Leader to assess your technical skills, team fit, and tasks.
