Data Center Design Director

Datacenter People is working with one of Europe’s biggest construction engineering companies to find them a Senior Data Center Design Manager in France. We are looking for someone with experience of pre construction design studies for High Voltage, Low Voltage, Generators & UPS systems. This position will be working on the early design phase of new data center construction projects across the whole of France. Duties will include: Design UPS, Generator, Power Distribution, High Voltage, Low Voltage installations for every phase of the project, define the system architectures that meet the client’s needs and project typology, size the installations, perform the necessary calculations, and describe the selected solutions. Organize and control the quality of the production of plans and schematics related to your specialty within your projects. Monitor the execution of works in collaboration with the designated companies and clients, ensuring a smooth handover of installations and overseeing final inspections (OPR). Conduct technical audits when required. Your Skills and Expertise Will Enable You To: Ensure the technical and contractual compliance of electrical operations and intervene when necessary. Contribute to defining project deliverables for each phase in accordance with operational budgets and deadlines. Assist in the validation of technical choices and concepts proposed by project managers. Participate in the review and quality control of project documentation before distribution. Support operational tracking by identifying the necessary resources based on project timelines (graphic resources, reinforcements if needed, etc.) and allocated budgets. Participate in and contribute to business meetings, both internally and externally, to advocate for the department’s and the company’s interests. Experience Required: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with 3D navigation in REVIT Knowledge of AutoCAD Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of laws, standards, and regulations related to the electrical specialty We regret that due to the high volume of applications we are unable to acknowledge each one.
