Our offices are located in Paris, Lille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, and Lyon.WHY WE NEED YOU?Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Network Products Core team to support the development of new network products critical to our cloud ecosystem.Your mission will be to design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust network infrastructure services in order to enhance connectivity features and ensure the reliability of our sovereign cloud offerings.YOUR FUTURE TEAMWe work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.You will be part of a team of 7 engineers working across France, composed of mostly senior profiles. The team develops and maintains critical networking products, with a strong focus on system programming and connectivity. We follow a continuous improvement approach, adapt our own workflow, and dedicate time every Friday afternoon to learning, PoCs, and customer issue resolution. Your future manager: Charles-Henri GUERINYOUR DAILY ROUTINEDesign and develop scalable network products using Rust and gRPCBuild and maintain APIs that power Scaleway’s networking infrastructureWork with PostgreSQL to manage and store service dataDebug, resolve bugs, and manage technical incidents impacting customersCollaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, documentation, support)Take part in our weekly rotating on-call dutyEngage in technical discovery and POCs during dedicated learning slotsContinuously improve internal tools and practicesParticipate in daily stand-ups and weekly roadmap/bilan meetingsContribute to creating a reliable, efficient, and API-first networking platformAbout YouHARD SKILLS:Proficient in Rust with experience in developing gRPC APIsSolid understanding and hands-on experience with PostgreSQLStrong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, VXLANFamiliarity with eBPFNice to have: KafkaSOFT SKILLS:Collaborative and team-oriented mindsetCurious and eager to learn, especially about networkingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAutonomous and proactiveWHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SCALEWAY ++++Hybrid work: We offer up to 3 days of remote work per week.Offices: Our offices are spacious, dynamic workspaces with bold design, conveniently located near public transport.
