Consulting Director, Proactive Services, Cloud and AI (Unit 42) This role is a senior-level consulting position responsible for the day-to-day delivery of threat-led and technology-driven cybersecurity consulting services. The Director will lead and directly oversee a team of Consultants, develop teams, and work with sales and domain leaders. The position requires experience in delivering consulting services, winning new business, and managing client relationships. Your Career The Consulting Director in Unit 42 is a senior-level consulting position. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our threat-led and technology-driven cybersecurity consulting services through leading and directly overseeing a team of Consultants. This person will have experience in developing teams and working with sales and domain leaders. The Director will work with a dedicated Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) and Customer Success Manager (CSM) to deliver pitches and prepare proposals to win new business and manage client relationships. You will be a trusted advisor to clients, dedicated to delivering technical consulting services to an exceptional standard, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and advocate for innovative approaches to deliver the best outcomes for cross-sector clients. Your Impact Oversee the delivery of proactive consulting services, ensuring consistency, quality, and the highest level of customer service Provide hands-on, expert-level proactive SOC assessment and transformation services to clients and deliver findings to executives and/or Board of Directors Work with the BDM and CSM to perform pipeline generation activities Lead scoping and services overview conversations with clients for prospective engagements, presenting with credibility and authority and articulating various approaches and methodologies to audiences from highly technical to executive levels Partner with the Unit 42 executive team and service line leaders to develop and execute strategy for the proactive services practice Drive innovation in Unit 42’s proactive offerings by leading and managing the consulting team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new capabilities and services to market that leverage Palo Alto Networks products Manage the productivity of a team through attainment of utilization targets Collaborate with peers and leaders across Unit 42 to drive operational and practice development goals Recruit and onboard world-class talent to support growth goals Support the professional growth and development of consultants through training and technical enablement Foster and maintain a culture that attracts and retains smart, kind team members dedicated to executing with excellence Identify and execute strategies for service development, enablement, and product adoption Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clientele to increase awareness of Unit 42’s capabilities and provide on-demand expertise for client needs Amplify Unit 42’s presence and credibility in the marketplace through thought leadership, including speaking engagements, articles, whitepapers, and media exposure Qualifications Your Experience 10+ years of hands-on experience delivering a wide range of cybersecurity consulting services, including at least 4 of the following 8 for global enterprise customers Security operations (highly preferred for this position) Application security (including AI) Cloud security Red & purple teaming Cybersecurity risk assessments Cybersecurity strategy & transformations Cyber crisis management Zero Trust Experience as a senior-level team leader including overseeing other principal, senior, and mid-level analyst/consultant teams Able to split time across commercial support, client delivery, team leadership, individual mentoring, and technical skills maintenance Strong presentation, communication, and presentation skills with verifiable industry experience communicating at CxO and/or Board level Client services mindset and exceptional client management skills Public speaking experience and demonstrated writing ability, including technical reports, business communication, and thought leadership pieces Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience Professional industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and other leading certifications in line with our services portfolio Expert knowledge of applicable laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards as it relates to privacy, security, and compliance Additional Information The Team Unit 42 Consulting is Palo Alto Network's security advisory team.
