Formulation Chemist

MK Search is partnering with a highly innovative specialty chemicals business to recruit a Formulation Chemist focused on HI&I cleaning applications (dish, floor, linen and surface cleaning).This is a great opportunity to join a company at the forefront of next-generation sustainable chemistry, helping customers transition away from traditional petrochemical ingredients toward safer, high-performance, plant-based alternatives.The RoleAs a Formulation Chemist, you will play a key role in designing, developing and optimising formulations to meet performance, cost and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with R&D, production and quality teams to ensure successful development and scale-up of innovative products for HI&I applications.Key Responsibilities✅ Develop and optimise formulations for HI&I products (dish, floor, laundry/linen, surface cleaning, etc.)✅ Create application data, guideline formulations and technical documentation✅ Run lab experiments, performance testing and pilot trials to develop robust/scalable formulations✅ Select and evaluate raw materials and functional additives for cleaning formulations✅ Support compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., REACH, VOC limits)✅ Support manufacturing scale-up and troubleshoot formulation/performance issues✅ Stay up to date with innovation and market trends in HI&I / cleaning chemistryCandidate ProfileExperience in formulation development within HI&I, detergents, cleaning products, surfactants or specialty chemicalsHands-on lab capability (testing, evaluation, iterative optimisation)Comfortable working cross-functionally (R&D / production / quality / customer support)Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks (REACH/VOC) is highly valued #J-18808-Ljbffr
