Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Stealth MedTech Startup (Europe, Hybrid) We are partnering with an innovative European medical technology startup that is operating in stealth mode. They are developing a novel robotic solution designed to transform a segment of interventional medical procedures. The company is in its early stages and is backed by a strong ecosystem of clinical and technical expertise. Role Overview As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be the primary architect and executor of the technical vision. Your mandate will include leading the development of an electromechanical device that serves as a precision aid in clinical procedures. This role involves full ownership of the product development lifecycle, from early prototyping through regulatory submissions and initial market entry. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the R&D strategy for a novel robotic medical device. Lead the end-to-end product engineering process, including design, testing, supplier management, and design freeze. Oversee quality management systems and contribute to regulatory submissions (CE, FDA). Expand the company’s intellectual property portfolio in close collaboration with the CEO. Build and lead a small, agile engineering team post-fundraise. Ideal Candidate Profile Extensive experience in developing electromechanical or robotic medical devices. Proven track record in bringing medical devices to market, including familiarity with ISO 13485 and relevant regulatory pathways. Comfortable working in a startup environment with minimal infrastructure, taking both a strategic and hands‑on approach. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to engage with international stakeholders. A flexible, humble, and creative mindset, willing to start with a straightforward product and evolve it into a more complex solution.
