Join us at ERM as an Environmental/Permitting Associate in Paris or Lyon. We’re seeking a motivated Environmental / Permitting Specialist with 1–2 years of consulting experience in permitting capital projects in France. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in environmental permitting for large-scale capital expansion projects, a deep understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in line with national and lender international requirements. Renewable energy and/or data center permitting experience is a plus. Responsibilities Draft the environmental aspects of projects, including ESIA, ESDD, EM Plans or Systems, and post-monitoring projects. Perform on-site audit/assessment to support ESDD, ESIA, and other impact assessments and monitoring projects. Conduct environmental fieldwork and supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance and safety. Provide support with writing project reports in accordance with ERM’s project management system. Develop proposals for key clients. Communicate effectively through oral, written, and presentation skills. Maintain strong commitment to safety and health & safety protocols. Travel as required. Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in environmental permitting within a consulting firm. Fluent in French (written and spoken) and proficient in English. Strong communication and presentation skills. Commitment to safety and ability to follow Health and Safety protocols.
