Location: Pau
Contract: 12-Month Renewable
Project Overview:The Reservoir Engineer will be focused on enhancing Multiphysics modelling for CO2 injection into saline aquifers and depleted reservoirs. This project integrates flow and geomechanical simulations to optimize CO₂ storage processes.
Responsibilities:- Develop reservoir models for CO2 storage sites, incorporating fluid flow simulations for saline aquifers and depleted reservoirs.
- Assess and evaluate next-generation reservoir simulation tools for CO2 storage.
- Analyse static and dynamic models of CO2 injection, addressing uncertainties in input parameters and their impact on plume propagation.
- Calibrate 4D seismic data to align CO2 plume predictions with observed data, ensuring geological consistency.
- Estimate long-term plume behavior and assess the impact of storage mechanisms on stability.
- Proficiency in flow simulation tools for porous media, with a focus on multiphase reservoir simulation (experience with Intersect preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills in field development (hydrocarbon or CO2 storage) with an emphasis on uncertainty analysis and experimental design.
- In-depth knowledge of reservoir simulations related to geological CO2 storage.
- Proficient in French or English for daily communication; reports must be in English.
- Familiarity with geomodelling and reservoir simulation tools (SISMAGE-CIG) or similar platforms like Petrel.
