Paris, France French Society of Immunology Temps plein

@ CEA / Hemato-Immunology Research Department (SRHI), St Louis Hospital, Paris, France.SRHI is currently recruiting a new permanent member with expertise in Immunology to join our research programs focused on immunomodulation mechanisms and their clinical applications in the development of novel biotherapies, particularly in oncology and transplantation.SRHI is a research department of CEA that is also part of INSERM UMR1342, located at Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris (75010). Our research focuses on immune modulation mechanisms and applications, and particularly on the immune checkpoint HLA-G. Because HLA-G is a fetal tolerogenic molecule that may be neo-expressed in various pathological contexts, our main projects are in oncology and in transplantation. Thanks to our close collaboration with clinicians (medical oncology, urology, radiotherapy, anatomopathology Depts) our oncology projects are performed on patient samples (cells and patient-derived spheroids) and focus on two aspects of HLA-G biology: its immune checkpoint function and its TSA status. Our goal is to develop and test new anti-cancer therapies. Similarly, our transplantation projects in lung and skin allografts focus on using HLA-G to induce tolerance to allogeneic grafts. In lungtransplantation, we focus on EVs that display HLA-G, and in skin transplantation, we are partof a large PEPR program to generate a better tolerated off-the-shelf artificial skin to be usedin emergencies (e.g. large burns). We have access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including spectral flow cytometry, cell sorting, imaging, genomics, and protein biochemistry, and our in-house know-howincludes the use of patient-derived 3D structures such as tumor spheroids re-infused with TILs and analyzed in microfluidic chips.Candidate ProfileSRHI currently counts 3 permanent researchers and we are recruiting a new permanentteam member to work with us on our current projects and also develop new research avenues.Applicants must hold a PhD, have a strong background in immunology, and havepostdoctoral research experience. Candidates should be proficient in both oral and writtenEnglish, possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, and be team-oriented, proactive, and result-driven.Expertise in immunology is required, and expertise in one of the following areas is of interest to us:• Immuno-oncology• Immune regulation and tolerance• Immune checkpoints• Clinical applications• High-dimensional datasets• Omics-based experiments and analysesApplication ProcessApplicants must submit:• A cover letter (motivation statement)• A detailed CV, including a list of publications, patents, and obtained grants• A summary of scientific achievements (maximum two pages)Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.Applications should be sent as PDF files (preferentially only one) to tej.bettoumi@cea.frno later than September 2025.The selected candidate is expected to join SRHI/CEA by December 2025/January 2026.SRHI Team:Nathalie ROUAS-FREISS (Head of Department)Joel LEMAOULTJules RUSSICK #J-18808-Ljbffr
