We cover hotels, apartments, hostels, villas, and more, with a growing global presence in over 50 countries and 20 languages, and offices in Paris and Budapest.About the RoleAt Cozycozy, we’re building the world’s best accommodation metasearch platform. As Head of Engineering, you’ll work with the CEO to be a key pillar of our technical strategy, ensuring the quality and success of Cozycozy’s IT projects. You will build a strong technological culture within the company, lead the IT team toward excellence, ensure platform reliability, and integrate emerging AI technologies to support growth. You’ll join an international team (12 nationalities) that’s passionate about travel and innovation, helping millions of travelers worldwide find their perfect accommodation.Your role is organized around several key areas: Leadership, Project Management, Software Development & System Architecture, and Processes & Security. You’ll bridge Tech/Engineering and the wider organization, ensuring decisions are data-informed and aligned with strategic goals.⚡ The position is an onsite (yet flexible) role based in our central Paris office.Your missionTechnical Leadership and Team ManagementDeveloping and implementing our technical strategy and roadmap.Establishing a strong tech culture that promotes innovation and best practices within the IT team.Recruiting and leading the software engineering team.Management of our Technical ProjectsDeveloping and managing the technical roadmap in collaboration with product and business teams and project managers.Managing technical projects while ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and budget.Allocating necessary resources and ensuring timelines are met.Software Development and System ArchitectureOverseeing our global backend and frontend development.Leading rigorous code reviews to ensure software quality and performance.Participating in system architecture decisions to support the company’s current and future needs.Supervising the design and implementation of a scalable and reliable system architecture.Overseeing the integration of AI and machine learning technologies.Processes and MethodsDefining and implementing processes and working methods to improve productivity and development quality.Implementing tools and automations to enhance the efficiency of development, testing, and deployment.Maintaining clear technical documentation.Security, Performance, and Risk ManagementOverseeing the security and regulatory compliance of our infrastructure.Participating in security code reviews and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.Identifying technical risks and creating proactive mitigation strategies.Being highly involved in troubleshooting during critical issues.About YouYou have a Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.You have experience overseeing technical teams or individuals as a team lead or manager.You are fluent in English (written & spoken). French is a strong plus.Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is a plus.You possess strong foundational knowledge of backend and frontend technologies, especially Node.js, Angular, and TypeScript.You have experience with databases [MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL] and knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools like Gitlab and Jenkins.You navigate system architecture management and scalable infrastructures with ease.You are experienced in AI and familiar with machine learning technologies.You are comfortable managing stakeholders and building strong cross-team relationships.You are an excellent communicator and team player with proven collaborative skills.
