OverviewClimate Underwriter France (Technical Lines) – ChubbJoin to apply for the Climate Underwriter France (Technical Lines) role at Chubb. This role focuses on underwriting construction and operational risks for REAF occupancies and P&C risks for climate technology companies, within an industry practice dedicated to energy and climate transition technologies.ResponsibilitiesUnderwriting – Underwrite new business and renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies, working with risk engineers where appropriate in line with guidance.Industry Knowledge – Stay informed on developments in REAF & Climate technologies, industry challenges and loss activity.Financial – Contribute to achieving the Industry Practice financial plan.Training & Mentoring – Continuously develop knowledge of REAF & Climate technology underwriting through learning and development activities.Compliance and Procedures – Meet company standards for policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audits, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.Leadership – Support the Industry Practice Leader in establishing and promoting best practices within the team.Chubb Representative – Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and convey the value of the Industry Practice proposition to brokers and clients.Business Development – Maintain relationships with key brokers and clients to drive profitable and sustainable growth; develop and grow the pipeline of opportunities; contribute to strategic growth plans with key brokers.Cross-sell – Maximize cross-selling opportunities across lines of business and maintain an understanding of Chubb’s risk appetite across core lines.QualificationsGood working knowledge of the insurance market, including competitor and broker analysis.Experienced professional with market-recognised expertise.Results-driven with ability to make decisions and work autonomously.Highly motivated with a solutions mindset and interest in macro and micro factors impacting the industry.Desire to develop technical and broader business skills (technical lines, property, casualty).Ability to assist when needed the Industry Practice Climate manager on strategic projects.Significant experience underwriting traditional energy/power and/or renewable energy/alternative fuel construction (CAR/EAR) and operational property risks (PDBI); casualty underwriting knowledge is a strong asset.Good presentation and development skills.Fluent English; native-level French language skills.Location: Paris, France.Job DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Finance and SalesIndustries: Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
