Development tests engineer

Based in Viry-Châtillon, in the Paris area (France), we are looking for aDevelopment testsengineerto contribute to the team's development. Your missions : Development Test Program Coordination: Specify testing requirements and confirm possible dates with the project support team. Check availability of parts, car, and equipment. Organize test sessions in coordination with the logistics team and development program coordinator. Identify and propose relevant test tracks or facilities, and handle booking and liaison. Define requirements for specific tools (mechanical and software) in coordination with the race team engineers. Ensure overall preparation of the development program: supervise all stakeholders to prepare garage equipment (mechanical and IT). Preparation and Execution of Bench and Track Tests: Supervise car build specifications in collaboration with the power unit supplier and systems team. Define setups and job lists for the chief mechanic. Manage bench and track test schedules in coordination with the project technical management. Collect and coordinate the test list across all technical departments. Prioritize topics in alignment with technical management and the reliability and performance teams. Develop test methodologies and protocols for track and bench testing. Specify requirements and supervise vehicle instrumentation for track, bench, wind tunnel, etc. Responsible for simulator preparation sessions and monitoring specific preparation work (engineering). Conduct and oversee track tests as a track engineer. Test Analysis: Generate and manage test reports (server storage). Correlate results with theoretical objectives. Distribute and facilitate detailed analyses with various experts (tyres, differential, ALS, chassis control, etc.). Technical and Exploratory Synthesis: Participate in pre- and post-test simulations and oversee their execution. Contribute to vehicle dynamics and systems synthesis. Summarize setups and technical directions explored during development tests and ensure knowledge transfer to the race team. Participate in performance working groups and other technical forums, supporting the project technical managers in defining strategic directions. Your profile : Proficiency in vehicle dynamics, performance engineering, and embedded software systems. Strong experience with data analysis and software tools for testing (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel). Familiarity with simulation toolsand model correlation processes. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across cross-functional teams. Minimum 3 years of relevant motorsport or automotive testing experience. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Willingness and flexibility to travel to test sessions and events as required.
