About the Role As a Senior Chemical Scientist in the Chemical and Analytical Development department (CHAD) at Oril Industrie in Bolbec, you will design and optimise chemical routes that support the transition of compounds from early to late clinical stages. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure scientific excellence and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design and implement innovative synthetic routes and scalable chemical processes. Optimise API manufacturing processes, focusing on quality (GMP), cost, sustainability, robustness, and efficiency. Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and produce active pharmaceutical ingredients. Work closely with analysts, engineers, project managers and other experts to contribute to the development of new chemical entities. Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving during development or manufacturing phases. Assess and manage process risks related to scale‑up or equipment changes. Qualifications PhD in Organic Chemistry with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in process chemistry and GMP environments. Strong grasp of chemical transformations, synthesis methodologies, reaction mechanisms, and modern analytical techniques. Creative mindset with ability to challenge assumptions and propose innovative solutions. Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus. Dynamic, collaborative, team‑oriented; strong organizational skills, rigor, and proactivity. Proactive in contributing constructively to team discussions.
