We are seeking a motivated and skilled Java Spring Boot Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Lille, France. This role is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs that power our business applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture with effective communication skills in both French and English, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain high‑performance, scalable backend services and APIs. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate services and deliver reliable solutions. Participate in architecture discussions and make design decisions that support performance and scalability. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Hands‑on experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, including design, development, and troubleshooting of microservices‑based applications. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above) and Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data, Security) — Expert. Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (GCP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub/GitLab, and automation tools (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle). Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka. Language Skills: Fluency in French and English. Analytical Skills: Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing performance or scalability challenges.
