Our Clinical Development model centers the customer and the patient, and we aim to simplify and streamline our work.ResponsibilitiesProject-specific management responsibilities for medical writing staff; advise on salary administration, interviewing and selection, terminations, professional development, performance appraisals, and related policies; counsel staff on procedures and priorities.Review and edit departmental work products for completeness, accuracy, and quality; maintain responsibility for the quality of departmental deliverables.Ensure adherence to Sponsor objectives and quality standards.Assist with planning, development, and implementation of document development strategies and quarterly business updates.Assist with budgets and timelines for medical writing activities (full-service and stand-alone projects).Assist with budgeting, revenue, invoicing, and forecasting as requested.Contribute to departmental metrics by tracking and reviewing project metrics.Support business development with proposal and cost development, bid defenses, and customer meetings.Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; lead cross-functional teams.Review performance of medical writing staff; develop and maintain SOPs and templates; act as a resource for implementation.Participate in planning, writing, and assembly of medical writing deliverables; perform senior reviews of deliverables, including statistical analysis plans and tables/figures/lists.Travel up to 25% as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or medical field.Experience in medical writing with progressive management experience; experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical/medical device company.Management experience preferred.Strong English grammar; knowledge of FDA and ICH regulations and guidelines.Knowledge of clinical research principles and ISO standards; excellent communication skills.Effective presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills; team-oriented.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. #J-18808-Ljbffr
