What you'll build and who you'll work with Support tools & systems: Sophisticated platforms that empower our support team to deliver exceptional member experiences Operational solutions: Systems that combine technical excellence with an understanding of support workflows and member needs Automated support workflows: AI-driven automation that handles routine tasks, letting our support team focus on complex member needs and relationship building Role You'll lead 6-15 engineers across multiple crews, working with product managers, support operations, and data scientists. You're the bridge between AI technology and member impact. In this role, you will: Set technical direction: Balance debt with features, establish quality standards through code reviews, and drive operational excellence in monitoring and security Build talent density: Strategic hiring, honest performance management, and engaging technical challenges that excite engineers Enable effective collaboration: Foster psychological safety, knowledge sharing, and proactive team dynamics Drive strategic alignment: Partner with product, improve development efficiency with modern tools, and ensure commitments balance technical needs with business goals Stay hands-on: Architecture decisions, technical problem solving, and maintaining your engineering skills while developing as a leader Why this role is special Dual impact: Shape technical excellence and team growth AI at scale: Lead production AI systems serving hundreds of thousands of healthcare interactions Leadership growth: Influence engineering culture, mentor future leaders, and drive technical strategy What we're looking for Leadership experience: 3-5 years managing engineering teams with a track record of building high-performers Experience scaling teams and establishing engineering excellence standards Technical foundations: Strong technical background with ability to guide architectural decisions Experience with modern development practices and AI-assisted development tools What we value: Balance technical debt with feature delivery while maintaining quality; develop people as well as products; clear progression in management career Mission alignment: Interest in healthcare technology and AI innovation; value psychological safety and continuous learning How we work Location: You must be legally eligible to work in France, Belgium, or Spain.
