About the Role We're seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join the Artifact Lifecycle team, where you will be at the forefront of developing AI-powered solutions that transform how product compliance is managed across global Amazon stores. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement in building next‑generation compliance solutions using advanced technologies like Large Language Models, computer vision, and intelligent automation systems. Impact: You will be instrumental in building next‑generation compliance systems that leverage AI to transform how businesses manage product compliance globally. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance processes while helping to ensure product safety and regulatory adherence across international markets. Key Responsibilities Defining strategies and owning the delivery of multiple projects, taking ownership to monitor their progress against key milestones Leveraging a combination of data analysis skills, critical thinking and collaboration to clarify highly ambiguous problems and present tangible solutions in an easy to understand format for leadership teams Partnering closely with various Tech, Applied Science, Product teams to define and lead the integration of novel tech and science solutions leveraging AI Developing scalable mechanisms to report regular updates on projects within your ownership to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across worldwide teams Communicating clearly, precisely, and regularly with key stakeholders, including leadership, on ongoing project/program updates Creating and monitoring business metrics reporting to track compliance and process effectiveness A Day in the Life Plan and prioritize tasks to advance ongoing projects Reach out to compliance and legal teams to understand regulatory requirements and translate them into business requirements Work closely with policy, product, and tech teams to implement necessary changes Contribute to a positive team atmosphere through open communication and support Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience in compliance, audit or risk management Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level Extensive experience managing medium to high complexity cross‑functional programs, including multiple groups of stakeholders in an international environment Experience working with Product teams to implement scalable technical solutions Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences Extremely comfortable with ambiguity and able to take the lead to problem‑solve Ability to design processes that start with the customer and work backward Experience with root process design Strong delivery record Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements Master’s degree or equivalent Equal Opportunity Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
