Technical Consultant - Gender and Just Transition Job ID: 269564 Posting Information Posted 2 days ago Location: Boulogne‑Billancourt, Île‑de‑France, France Responsibilities Review and develop the gender action plan: Prepare a detailed work plan and timetable of the assignment. Review and strengthen the draft gender analysis, highlighting how gender intersects with planned measures in the upstream and midstream of the plastics life cycle, key risks and opportunities, and minimum requirements for all project countries. Carry out needs assessments and consultations with national projects on gender mainstreaming and just transition, reviewing the 15 national gender action plans to identify gaps and support needed. Review and finalize the gender and just transition action plan (GAP), updating it to respond to national priorities and support gender mainstreaming across national and global projects. Targeted technical assistance to national teams: Develop guidance, tools, templates, and checklists to support gender‑responsive project implementation, including light‑touch guidance for upstream and midstream plastics, templates for engaging national gender consultants, and monitoring tools. Conduct bilateral consultations with national teams to validate deliverables. Provide technical reviews of national project outputs, including checking the quality and consistency of national gender action plans and offering feedback on implementation activities. Offer virtual office hours for quick guidance. Review project indicators for gender mainstreaming, ensuring gender sensitivity following best practices. Capacity strengthening: Deliver virtual workshops on gender mainstreaming for national projects, preparing training materials and conducting two rounds of workshops. Establish a network of gender focal points across national projects, facilitating a community of practice and regular virtual check‑ins. Carry out an end‑of‑year review, preparing consolidated roadmaps for each national project and a handover package including materials from previous components. Communications: Review and contribute to knowledge products and communications materials to ensure gender responsiveness, actively participating in seminars and providing technical reviews.
