Role Overview We are on the lookout for a passionate and high‑performing Superintendent 4‑Stroke to join our energetic and fast‑paced Field Service Marine France team. This role offers a unique opportunity to travel the world, as most of your work will take place on‑site at our customers' locations. While the primary location for this role is Marseille, we are also open to considering candidates based in other locations such as Nantes or Harfleur. Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for customers on‑site, ensuring smooth communication and operations. Lead and manage the execution of maintenance and repair activities, ensuring they meet customer expectations and company guidelines. Oversee the application of Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards during all work activities. Provide detailed and structured reports on completed work, including measurements, photos, and findings. Track progress, report on job status, and manage time and spare parts effectively. Represent the company professionally, ensuring your team maintains high standards of conduct and appearance. Be ready to travel globally on short notice, spending approximately 80% of your time on‑site with customers. Requirements for the Position ENSM diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred; alternatively, a BTS with proven hands‑on experience will also be considered. Knowledge of internal combustion engines (4‑stroke). Understanding of automation systems. Leadership and communication skills to guide your team and build strong customer relationships. Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues worldwide. The ability to write clear, structured, and detailed work reports. Proficiency in IT tools, including the MS Office suite. A focus on cost awareness and efficiency. Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% of your time) to customer sites worldwide. Ability to work abroad and on‑board sailing vessels. As an Ideal Candidate, You Might Also Have… Previous industry experience (engine tuning, development, or maintenance) is a plus. Highly organised and capable of building effective interpersonal relationships. Accurate and detail‑oriented, with strong critical thinking skills. Proactive, responsible, and self‑motivated.
