Join us and shape the future of quantum computing together As a Senior Quantum Experimentalist at Alice & Bob, you will be at the frontline of our cutting‑edge cat‑qubit processor development. Your role is to drive improvements and innovations of our processors, measuring, characterising, and optimising quantum circuits and gates. You will also play a pivotal role in improving our experimental setup and tools, driving advancements that enhance the performance of our cat‑qubit processors. You will collaborate with top‑level scientists, present research externally, and mentor junior experimentalists. You are also part of the Chip Design department, collaborating closely with device theorists. Responsibilities Measure, characterise in‑depth, and fine‑tune quantum circuits and gates. Carry out in‑depth analysis of experimental data to improve theoretical modelling. Drive new circuit/gate designs and measurement methods from ideas to experimental validation and integration into cat‑qubit processors. Contribute to the improvement of experimental set‑ups and tools. Contribute to the expansion of the knowledge base and continuous training of junior experimentalists. Report on experimental results internally and externally. Manage external collaborations. Requirements Postdoc level scientist or Ph.D. with 2+ years of experimental experience in quantum mechanics, preferably superconducting quantum circuits. Experience in microwave control and measurement of superconducting circuits. Data analysis and comparison to theory or numerical simulations (preferably with Python). Circuit design and simulation skills. Quantum gate design and benchmarking expertise. Knowledge of quantum error‑correction protocols. Scientific writing ability.
