Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLocation: Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier)Type of contract: Permanent (CDI)As the global Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager - Global Capital at Mars, you will partner to drive development & implementation of Capital sub-category buying strategies for Petcare process equipment (Dry) and related services and co-pilot optimization of resources. The role is responsible for $300M+ in annual spend.This role manages global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy x-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders.What are we looking for?Minimum of 7 years of global/regional strategic sourcing and purchasing experience, preferably in capital investment or related supply services. Engineering and Supply experience a plusBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement / business managementProven track record in large-scale negotiations and contract management at global level.Fluency in English and French.What will be your key responsibilities?Business PartneringPartner with engineering and regional Procurement teams to develop and execute global sourcing strategies using the Mars framework.Participate in the Global Category Team and maintain relationships with category operational buying managers in the region.Category Strategy & Analytical Mindset:Through your sourcing category expertise provide market and financial insights, import best practices, and ensure knowledge management within MGS Procurement for the Spend categories under your responsibility.Engage with global engineering technology leads to develop and execute strategies, standardization protocols, and sourcing initiatives.Negotiation & Contracting:Develop, negotiate and implement regional/global contracts and related Service Level Agreements including securing price, volume rebates, capacity, and service levels.Ensure the supplier base is optimized according to the category management strategies to enable the end to end procure to pay process.Sourcing, Supplier Roster, Supplier Selection:Drive the utilization of sourcing technologies, including e-sourcing and e-auction.Responsible to drive compliance, including Responsible Sourcing, with zero exposure and ensure all governance according to the Mars standards.Supplier Relationship Management:Lead relationships with global suppliers to drive performance management, continuous quality, and cost improvement, and develop supplier-enabled innovation.What can you expect from Mars?You will work in a unique campus, which gathers more than 800 Associates working for: the international HQ, the French subsidiary, two laboratories, a kennel and a cattery with more than 200 cats & dogs, and finally the most important factory of the Royal Canin groupFlexible working opportunitiesJoin a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University #J-18808-Ljbffr
