People like you.Visit our page to see what exciting opportunities and company await**Job Description:****About the Role:** Microchip Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior 2 Test Engineer to join our dynamic MCU32 Microcontrollers team in Nantes. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development of new microcontroller products, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate with **world-wide** cross-functional teams, contribute to innovative test solutions, and help drive the success of our next-generation MCU32 products.**Key Responsibilities:*** Specify, develop, debug and optimize test programs for new MCU32 microcontroller products, from initial concept through to mass production.* Contribute to DFT, Design For Test specifications* Analyze test data, identify root causes of yield and quality issues, and drive corrective actions.* Collaborate closely with design, product, and manufacturing engineering teams to define test requirements and strategies.* Support product qualification, characterization, and reliability testing.* Continuously improve test methodologies to reduce cost, cycle time, and improve test coverage.* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.* Prepare technical documentation and reports related to test development and product performance.**Requirements/Qualifications:****Required Qualifications:*** Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.* Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, preferably with microcontrollers or mixed-signal ICs including analog and memory IPs.* Proficiency in embedded programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.* Solid understanding of hardware debugging, data analysis, and statistical methods.* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* Strong communication skills in English and French.* Strong communication and organizational and teamwork abilities.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and test program development.* Experience with Cohu D1X tester is highly appreciated.* Experience with MCU32 architecture or similar microcontroller families.* Familiarity with wafer sort and final test processes.* Knowledge of test cost optimization and yield improvement techniques.* Experience working in an international, cross-functional team environment.**Travel Time:**0% - 25%**To all recruitment agencies**: *Microchip Technology Inc. **does not** accept unsolicited agency resumes.
