The role focuses on Earth observation and monitoring satellites, with responsibilities for payload data handling, transmission, and ground segment infrastructure design. Projects include developing real‑time scheduling solutions for multi‑mission ground segments in the S, X, and Ka bands, assessing antenna technologies, evaluating MIMO technology, and delivering an optimisation framework balancing resource constraints and resilience. Core Activities Define representative scenarios for multi‑mission ground segments, specifying data rates, QoS parameters, and data flow prioritisation for space‑Earth and Earth‑space links. Develop optimisation methods for efficient dimensioning of multi‑mission ground segments to support escalating data traffic demands.
