Senior Software Engineer Kubernetes Container Autoscaling

The Container Autoscaling team is part of the Container Monitoring product within the Infrastructure Observability group at Datadog. We're responsible for building and evolving Datadog's Kubernetes Autoscaling product solution that enables companies to automatically adjust Kubernetes resources to optimize performance, improve efficiency and reduce infrastructure costs. What You’ll Do: Build both backend and in-cluster software (end-to-end flows) to power products providing both observability and automated actions Participate and contribute to upstream open-source communities Do it in Go, Python or any language that fits the particular task at hand Design and write features that solve new problems in the industry Work on unsolved cutting-edge problems to offer best in-class Autoscaling experience Have a significant impact on the product and the user experience of fellow engineers who use the product Who You Are: You have a significant experience (7 years) as software engineer or platform engineer / SRE that helped you to become fluent in various languages (Golang, C, Rust, C#, Java) and willing to continue to learn more. You have in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, its APIs and some of its internals (APIServer controllers, volumes, etc.). Bonus Points: You've been part of a team operating or managing Kubernetes clusters used by internal or external customers You've built reliable and scalable backend applications.
